CASE FILE 01
FABC Showcase
After taking over FABC's social media execution in 2026, I built a repeatable live coverage system around player recognition, event storytelling, matchup planning, short-form video, graphics, and rapid social publishing. The year-over-year results are measured against the previous event cycle before my involvement.
Compared with last year's 150K views, 1,948 interactions, and 1.30% engagement rate. Follows generated equal nearly 43% of the current 4,974-follower audience.
The Challenge
FABC is one of the largest basketball showcases in Florida, with 300+ teams and more than 600 games. The event had major on-court scale, but its social presence had not fully matched the quality, energy, and recruiting value of the showcase itself.
The Objective
Increase visibility, improve brand perception, create a stronger content rhythm, and turn event moments into platform-native stories that built a deeper emotional connection around the showcase.
The Strategy
Build anticipation before each weekend through elite team spotlights and scout-attendance storylines, then use athlete-first storytelling, matchup research, and real-time planning to cover the moments most likely to matter to players, coaches, scouts, and families.
The Execution System
Introduced workflow systems to help interns capture more volume while maintaining consistency, developed relationships with players and coaches, produced short-form video, photos, graphics, and interviews, and published around the natural rhythm of the event.
The Results
From June 1-July 2, 2026, the campaign generated 3.03M views, 71.7K interactions, 2,127 follows, and a 2.37% engagement rate. Compared with the previous event cycle, FABC saw 1,918% YoY view growth and 3,579% YoY interaction growth.
Beyond The Metrics
The coverage created real-world momentum. Scouts mentioned leaving other events to travel to Gainesville after seeing FABC's coverage, and coaches cited the exposure as a major reason they were excited to return.
